Every year we look forward to our annual event, Emerson Global Users Exchange – Americas! It takes countless hours of planning and preparation but after wrapping up the event, we look back and know it was a successful week of connecting with customers and sharing information and best practices.
This year the event was held from September 23 through 25, in Nashville, TN, where we were also able to host a reception with live music from the area.
We welcomed more than 1200 visitors from different countries and a variety of industries, such as oil and gas, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, water and wastewater, mining, etc., who engaged with our product managers and subject matter experts at the different booths to learn about our products and latest innovations. Many of our booths offered demonstrations as well as literature to peruse after the event.
At the event Emerson announced our new Digital Transformation business which brings together critical resources to help manufacturers develop and implement pragmatic digital transformation strategies that deliver industry-leading, or Top Quartile, performance.
The $650+ million business combines existing expertise in consulting, project execution, smart sensor technologies, data management and analytics – all part of Emerson’s Plantweb™ digital ecosystem. The organization will help customers not only establish a clear vision for digital transformation, but also execute with confidence and realize measurable results at each step of their journey.
To showcase some of our work in the digital sphere, and digital install base in particular, our displayed equipment had tags with QR codes that made it easy for visitors to download information on their mobile phones or tablets on our products and solutions.
In addition to the main displays at the booths in the expo hall, we also hosted 31 speaking sessions. Some of these were presentations by Emerson subject matter experts and others were joint sessions with customers and Emerson talking about specific solutions. All were geared toward offering learning and sharing of best practices.
Looking back, we’re pleased at how our hard work translated into a successful event. We hope to see you at Exchange next year, and until then, you can always keep up with all things Emerson at our Exchange usergroup site: https://emersonexchange365.com/
