One of the world’s leading spots to learn about new developments in industrial valves, valve actuators and fittings is the Valve World Expo. This event was held last month in Düsseldorf, Germany.
During this event, Emerson launched two new products: the Bettis EHO Electro Hydraulic Actuator and the Bettis TEC2 Electric Actuator with Model 500.
In this 2:47 YouTube video from KCI Television, Emerson launches new Bettis actuators: the EHO and the TEC2, Emerson’s Darren Sheppard describes the applications where these valve actuators are well suited.Darren describes the EHO Electro Hydraulic Actuator as an emergency shutdown actuator ideally suited for remote pipelines, oil movements and storage applications as well as other critical process safety applications where only an electrical power supply exists to power the actuator. Due to its electrohydraulic design, zero emissions come from the actuator.
On the Bettis TEC2 Electric Actuator Model 500, Darrin explains that it is a smaller platform electrical actuator well suited for small, linear, and quarter-turn valves. The diagnostics built in look at not only the health of the actuator, but also the valve to which it is attached.
You can connect and interact with other valve and valve actuator experts in the Valves and Actuators groups in the Emerson Exchange 365 community.
